Just finished the first season (I've been avoiding reading anything about it till I finished!) It's wonderful!! Tell me they're having a second season?

no idea but like the rest of us, you can go on to the manga. it continues the story where the anime took off roughly at volume 10

From spamming around NCIS forums the general consensus seems to be probably not anytime soon, for budget and (Paris) location reasons... but dear god they seriously need to make a second season!

A friend from Japan just got back with Nodame vol. 0 (character book) and 18 for me x3 I'm so heppy... although I'm holding off opening 18 for a little while longer, want to wait for the scanslation to catch up a bit. That might take a while... -.-;;

...wait why would the location matter? its anime so its not like they have to do alot/any location shooting.

Oops... yeah, meant the live action. There's going to be a live action Paris special scheduled for January though... my friend was telling me I should finish the live action before then so I can catch the live action special XD *hearts*

As for anime, I have no idea. I feel like I read on the forum somewhere that Tomoko Ninomiya asked for them to hold off on anime season 2 until the Paris arc is done. I could totally be pulling that out of my ass though, so that's not really reliable information XD

oh ok, how is the live action anyways? i probably wont check it out either way but was curious....

After I got past the shock of seeing Stresemann as a Japanese dude in a Shakespearean wig that looked like rats could nest in it + also having an awful "foreigner" accent, I did enjoy it XD I thought they did a pretty good job of staying true to the manga, and the fact that I marathoned it with my boyfriend made it pretty special. Although I couldn't convince him that Stresemann was a cool character lol, he just looked sooo sketchy in the live action. Also, the live action ending is a LOT better than the anime ending. They had more time to wrap things up so you get to see Chiaki's final performance with the R*S Orchestra, unlike the anime which really just cut off lickety-split after Chiaki and Nodame's special scene. Like you said, I would've been totally traumatized if I didn't already know there was more manga to follow :D
